If a traumatic event happened in a previous life where you drowned, you may be very fearful for water in this life. It may have been impossible to get over this fear for water. When I am able to remove the soul’s original trauma, you may still be a bit fearful of water, but with gentle exercise and exposure, you may be able to get over it where before you were unable to do so.
This same is a case for animals, who are fearful of other dogs, fireworks or a thunderstorm, for example. By healing the trauma at soul level, it takes away the root of the pain or anxiety. Then, after their healing, they initially still will be fearful to the other dog, or fireworks, or thunderstorm, but now they will be able to stay more present with it. They are able to stay in contact with their owner even though they are fearful.
This has now become a situation that they can be trained by positive reinforcement. When their anxiety is too great, as in the situation before the healing, they are not in the right frame of mind to be trained.
Animals that are unwilling to go into a certain area or room in the house, or their stable for horses, or that are restless when their owner is in that area where a negative energy is, show a complete change in behaviour after the energy has been removed. Suddenly it’s all okay again. Even horses can demonstrate fearful behaviour of areas due to certain energies. Once removed, they are all good again, like nothing has happened.
In ‘Get to Know Your Pet Using the Five Elements’, Aleid Hillebrand and Eric Laarakker will introduce you to the Five Elements - a millennia-old school of thought in Traditional Chinese Medicine. They discuss the character traits in addition to the physical and mental characteristics of our pets according to the Five Elements. When you get to know your animal’s strengths and weaknesses, you can better understand, train and, if necessary, give the animal the right extra attention that will benefit its well-being and health.
Aleid Hillebrand is a holistic veterinarian, veterinary acupuncturist, acupuncturist for people as well as an energy healer, being able to make contact at soul level and working at soul level.
Born in the Netherlands, she studied to be a veterinarian in Belgium and Austria. After her graduation in 1998 she moved to the United Kingdom to work as a regular vet for several years before falling ill with a severely debilitating illness which lasted 13 years before she was able to rehabilitate step by step. The period of illness was an extremely difficult and hard time for her but gave her invaluable insights and lessons from which she can still draw for clients.
